“Summer vacation with teenagers. A great place to stay and enjoy.”
Reviewed 18 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

It can happen, that when you plan to rent an apartment or house for your summer vacation, you are a bit disappointed when you arrive and the location turns out not to be or not to look like promised in the documents.

With Villa Maura it's the definitively the opposite!. The house (outside, inside), the higher than usual standard , the equipment, cleanness, the area around the house, all ... perfect. I can say that it is better then the impression that you get from the pictures in the web.
Each room is airy and light. Let me list just a few things:
- lovely kitchen: cutlery, pots, etc - a lot of. Nespresso machine, 4-flame stove & oven; dishwasher, big frigde, microwave, ...
- nice, big living and dining room. Actually we ate outside b/c of the great weather we had and b/c of the create scenery.
- 3! bathrooms: (2 showers, one bath tub); 3 toilets 3 bidets. One on each foor.
- 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with one separate dressing room.
Lovely decorated walls; lots of mirrors.

We arrived at the 1st of September, left at the 12th, and spend about 60% at and in the pool - relaxing, sun bathing. The rest of the time we spend sight seeing in the area (Siena, Vinci, .... are not that far away

The property (Villa Maura and another building which hosts appartments) is about 5 minutes away from Fucecchio, put on a hill in the typical Tuscan landscape.

With regards to groceries best is to drive to Fucecchio. There is a large COOP store. But near by the Villa, (15 minute walk / 2 minute drive) there is a littel store where you get the most urgent things. Additionaly this store offers a delivery service for fresh bread, rolls, baguette... even on weekends. And the good thing: It was delivered to your door, you don't have to get up and you can pay all at the day when you leave. We used that and this was perfect too. As you can imagine.

It was great to stay there. We met other guests which came to that place before and I can imagine that we will too.

Tiziana and Walter, the landlords, are very very nice and helpful. They gave hints for excursions, restaurants, etc. and are anxious that you feel good at this place. They always have time for a chat ;-)
