Stayed here with grown up children recently. The pros-campsite is clean, pools are fab, food in the onsite restaurant is excellent and staff are friendly.
Only small disadvantage relates to the distance of Labenne Ocean from Labenne town. We did not hire a car this year and it is a good 3km walk to the gare SNCF and supermarket/pharmacy/cash machine etc. The local buses are great €2 to Bayonne and €1 from Bayonne to Biarritz so no need to have the hassle of driving BUT the walk to the gare can be tough on a hot day. San Sebastián and Irun are very near and it’s great to hop over the border (without passport). Great buses operate between San Sebastián and Bilbao, Pamplona, Santander (Alsa and Peso) but be warned, not that many return you to Bayonne in France so maybe stay a night or two in Spain to allow for planning the return. I recommend the €2 from Bayonne to St Jean de Luz.
Hire the bikes in the Sylvamar and cycle to Capbreton and Ondres. More
