We have stayed at The Laurels Holiday Cottage twice, once in summer 2010 for a week and a longer stay in winter 2011-2012 It is very comfortable (even in the depths of winter) and well equipped with everything needed for a short or a longer stay including the internet. While it is private and self-contained, we appreciated the friendliness of the owners, Kate and Andrew, and their helpfulness with any little problems.
Barley is an attractive village with a convenient shop and pub(s) and an interesting network of footpaths. It is also a good centre for visiting the surrounding countryside and the towns of Cambridge and Saffron Walden.
