This is classic french food.
The wrong people will get caught up with not appreciating that it's rustic family food l. Basically if you wanting Spanish and art ... go down the road to Bo.tica.
What this is, is true food. Not the "I'm a foodie review (old or new) looking for followers". If your the person who wants a perfect photo of a dish to post for the most likes you won't get it here. Not unless Instagram gets a 'lick it' function.
The smells from the kitchen the flavors in your mouth ... this is personal food. You go because you want to look at the person on the other side of the table and share something, not with the person scrolling for a photo to regram.
We had half a rabbit. It was that. Not dry as most people achieve. Well cooked with simple flavours. The pan jus splashed across it showed the chef put love in there.
It would only be better if the rabbits were wild, but thanks to rules now there is no chance of that. Chef treated the product as he should have, so thank you.
The salad was simple and chopped.
I'd go back when traveling through again for something to coat the heart and stomach.
Drink local too, the wines are too good for the price.
Just a note - I bet winter is more enjoyable as the bugs were enjoying the summer weather more than us. The staff do their best to accommodate with spray and citronella, but his only wrecks to aroma coming from the kitchen.
You can sit inside as well as out.
Those looking for a photo, ask the geese to stand still.
