we booked (by email) this restaurant having read reviews on this site when staying in this small Basque town recently. A mere 5 minutes walk from our Hotel Zubieta. Very happy that we did. On a Saturday night early June there were about 5 tables occupied in this small and cozy restaurant. The owner was very visible and came to speak with occupants of each table during the evening. We ordered a full turbot which was filleted at our table and was simply delicious. Our starters included an Asian dish (Momos) as the chef hails from that part of the world - both were delicious at 12e each. A bottle of very nice Verdejio wine from Rueda, sparkling water and 1 coffee came to 112e. Service charge of 10% was additional (and added on).
Although expensive for this part of the word we felt it was great value and a lovely evening was spent eating and chatting to a charming couple from New Zealand at the next table. Highly recommended. Do check though about opening hours as this is not a 'touristy' location they open mainly at the weekends outside of high season.
