Easy to navigate to by train. Harajuku station or walk from Shibuya.
Lots and lots and lots of similar sweet pancake shops and little else other foods.
Worth a walk around to see the quirky side of Japanese life!

Great shopping area with a variety of clothing shops. Lots of side streets to explore and random RV coffee shops

Cat street is actually in Harajuku and can easily be reached from the Meiji-jingumae subway station in Harajuku or by taking a 15 minute walk from Shibuya station as I did.

I wasn't all that impressed when I first explored the street. It seemed to have mostly big brand named stores, but on walking further in I discovered that there were many interesting secondhand branded stores and quirky little cafes and shops and restaurants. This is definitely a place I want to explore again when I come back with my family and I plan to take them to a quaint looking Thai restaurant on our next visit as well as Kiddy Land which is just around the corner from Cat Street.

So definitely worth a visit here if you want somewhere quirky and if you are into secondhand branded goods.

Cat street is a very misleading name, there was no cats what so ever on the street. However that could be just because of some rule that the Japanese aren't allowed any cats out. But you know you're down on cat street when you start seeing all the cat pictures and everything. But at the bottom of the street there is a little store called Rainbow Spectrum, which I would say it more directed towards females but not too judge. This store had the cutest layout and the cutest merchandise from stuffed animals to mugs and even some make-up and moisturizer.
