My husband and I stumbled on this hidden treasure during our day in Harajuku, and it ended up being a highlight of our entire time in Tokyo! There are so many small galleries that it was easy for us to find 4 different paintings/artworks we loved and purchased! That’s right: 4 things. Everything was super affordable since these are small, unknown or newer artists, but we loved the stuff. They were also super helpful and kind in allowing us to take the pieces that day since we weren’t staying in Tokyo until the end of the exhibition (so we couldn’t come back at the end of the show to pick them up). I’d highly recommend this as a stop if you like checking out the underground art scenes in cities you visit.

If you are into art, you might want to have a look at this place.

Many arts are exhibited in this place and it’s free to visit this place, you can come here after visiting meiji shrine and Takeshita Street.

There is a cafe and okonomiyaki restaurant here , the okonomiyaki is quite good and they also offer all you can eat okonomiyaki.

Most importantly , they have free wifi and some staffs speak English.

This is a funky little building with a few rooms for artists to display their work. Much of the art we saw was strange and modern. It’s fun to walk through and right next to all the touristy stuff. Plus it’s free, you can’t beat free.

This small gallery is a lovely space with all kinds of art across various mediums. In addition to being a creative and inspiring space in Harajuku, it provides a platform for local artists to show and sell their work. It's very close to the Harajuku JR station, would recommend a quick visit.
