“Clean and cute Tokyo Apartment in Nakano”

I rented the Nakano 1BR Apartment Type A (the unit with the blue bed in the photos) in March/April with my female cousin and brother. Though the apartment was a little cramped for 3 adults, it would be perfect for 2. The apartment was a narrow one bedroom layout equipped a sofa bed (between the size of a standard North American "twin" and "double" bed), extra floor blanket/mattress, washer, american style bathroom and kitchenette.

It was really hard to find an affordable place in Tokyo for 3 adults during cherry blossom season and at first I was a little skeptical of this apartment because I couldn't find many reviews. I took a leap of faith and I'm glad I did. Makoto (liveinasia.com) was really attentive and I received my security deposit back, etc.. after our stay with no issues.

The place was clean, comfortable and located in a great neighbourhood. I didn't know much about Tokyo when we arrived but Nakano turned out to be my favorite spot. There are lots of small alley ways with cute restaurants and shops. Apparently Nakano is the largest residential neighbourhood in Tokyo and you can find great souvenirs and eats (so much ramen) on the cheap. The station is also about a 5 min walk away and Makoto provided maps that made it easy to get around.

Other: The wifi signal was good but the rental did not include a wifi egg to carry around the city (but you can request one for an extra fee). Good water pressure. The kitchen is located in the hallway with a small table and foldable chairs. It can be a tight squeeze when 2 or more adults are hanging out and working in the little space. Our unit was located on the ground floor so we had to be home when we were drying our clothes on the hanger outside on the juliette style balcony).

“Perfect place for Travelers!”

This place was perfect for my friend and I! Very close to Nakano Station (5 min walk) and it was nice to escape the busy nightlife of Tokyo when it came time to rest. Nakano is actually a pretty fun place too, lots of bars/restaurants/shops. If you want to go to Shinjuku, Harajuku, or Shibuya though, all you have to do is hop on the train for no longer than 5-10 minutes.

The apartment is about the size of your average hotel room (perfect for two people) and was very clean! There's a foam pad in the closet for a possible third guest as well. The owner Makoto was super friendly and easy to get a hold of too. Meeting up with him and receiving directions to the apartment was a piece of cake!

I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Best place to stay couldn't be happier! Price was also unbeatable!

Great
> Location is near to Nakano Jr St. 5 min walking if alone. But with family with small child, 10min , but it was a good stroll.
> Excellent neighbourhood. Have Life Supermart, easy to grab your meals.
> The izakaya / bar lanes is a good place for drinks and snack.
> Excellent tourist information provided by Mac Makoto. Now we know that there is a nearby onsen from Tokyo!
> House is in clean and excellent state. It was a perfect house. It felt like home.
> Very quiet neighborhood. Perfect for rest.

Not-so-great
> Stairs. Luckily only one floor for the unit we were staying.

This is an excellent place to stay if you are coming to Tokyo for a month, as the cleaning fee can be considered a bit expensive if you just stay less than a week. But they did a excellent job!
