Owner description: Car and Passenger ferry service connecting the Wild Atlantic Way and the Causeway Coastal Route. 15 minute ferry trip crossing the Lough Foyle giving you plenty of time to take in the fabulous scenery. Sailing a continuous shuttle service from 9am to 8:15pm between Greencastle in County Donegal and Magilligan Point in County Londonderry.

Highly recommend this alternate route between the Inishowen Peninsula and the Causeway coast of Northern Ireland. Traveling the scenic Lough Foyle, rather than fighting the roundabouts of Derry are a no-brainer. During prime tourist season, drive to Greencastle harbour, get in the queue, the Ferry arrives every half hour from 9am to evening, pay the ferryman a fee you easily spend on a few "Guinness"! A bonus is driving beneath Mussendum Temple of Bishop Harvey at Castlerock and witnessing some of the prettiest scenery that you can view in Northern Ireland.

Thank you for your review! We operate a more frequent service in 2018 so no set times - just a constant sail between the two ferry terminals from 9am to 8:15pm

They were running a continuous shuttle service when we visited in August. 13 Euro return fare (our car had 4 passengers) and you can save the return ticket for use on another day. It was so quick, there were lovely views and the staff were very helpful. Last year we saw seals swimming beside the boat.

A nice route west from Northern Ireland, UK to the South. A short sail, operating all day in season, just drive up and get in the queue. Great views.

We didnt even know about this service we fell upon it and waited 10 minutes for the ferry and parked up and stood on deck with the sun shining and the spray over the bow. What a superb 20 minutes across the Foyle! It is highly recoimmended and saves may miles of driving via Derry.
