I'm afraid wordd fail me. Were not expected when we arrived despite booking a month ago although this wasn't a problem as only three rooms were booked for the evening and now I know why. Food in the evening was average at best whilst breakfast was an experience I would not like to repeat. This place is overpriced very much overrated and definitely best avoided. On the upside some of the staff appeared quite friendly.

We stayed in Bainbridge village and had dinner in the Rose and Crown every evening.
Great pub, excellent food and very friendly service.
Try the giant Yorkshire puddings with roast beef! Huge portions!

Typical old country hotel, built in 1445. I had the steak and kidney pie , my wife the half chicken, both followed with apple pie and Ice cream and coffee. My pie was delicious with nice chips and veg. The apple pie was very tasty. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not a pleasant experience - food mediocre at best, totally dated and compared to similar pubs locally for the same price well below par - will not be returning. On the plus side the staff were welcoming and friendly.
