The restaurant is a truly unique experience, everything looks and sounds medieval.
Great attention to details and extremely nice staff willing to provide you with additional information and explanations.
We had a fried lamp course which was really generous and an handmade pasta course with cheese and guanciale, both very tasty.
We also had breakfast the next day which was perfect. We loved the fresh handmade fruit juices and cakes. The only minor fault was the bread in the morning not too fresh.

We had a fantastic 3 day stay at the hotel, which is truly unique. A highlight was dining at the restaurant on the evening of our anniversary. Locande specialises in offering regional dishes, which were all amazing. The setting is ancient and elegant, the cuisine as good as any we have enjoyed at fine dining restaurants around the world. The ricotta and saffron ravilioni was outstanding! Highly recommended.

The architecture in this restaurant is amazing, making you feel as though you've just stepped back in time. If you're staying at the hotel you have breakfast here, which was plentiful and tasty but provided limited options for my dairy intolerance. We also had dinner which was tasty but again the menu offered very little option for my dietary requirements.

upon arrival the waiter just asked for our order, no suggestion of wine or any other drink. we cleared that up. the antipasti was nice but nothing exceptional, our mains where ok but not exceptional. The ravioli was huge with what looked like ketchup on it and presentation was lacking. The waiter tried but service was lacking. The restaurant has potential but has work to do to have repeat customers.

We decided to dine here after reading a recommendation as we were staying at the sextantio hotel. The restaurant is a very rustic space, in keeping with the location.

Firstly, the only choice of drinks was wine or water. As we are not big drinkers we immediately felt put off because we couldn't order a juice or lemon soda. I understand that the restaurant is trying to keep in touch with its medieval image but we thought that this was a step too far.

As for the food, we both agreed that this was the worst meal we have had in the entire two weeks we have been exploring Italy. The ravioli was bland. The pasta with potato and nuts was disappointing. My hubby had the pork with plums, he said the pork was cooked well but the plums were far too sharp and overpowered the dish. I had the lamb rib which, in my opinion, was offensive to such a beautiful piece of meat. It was breadcrumbed and deep fried, leaving it greasy and difficult to see what was meat and what was fat. Paired with this we ordered a portion of potatoes to share (turned out to be 3 tiny potatoes, not worth 5€) and some "sautéed seasonal vegetables" (a measly portion of greens seasoned with something spicy, making them difficult to eat). Based on this, we quickly decided to skip desert and return to our room.

The waiter was polite and did his best speaking to us in English.

Overall, we were both really disappointed as we had read good things and the menu sounded good. 70€ for a crap meal.
