“Stunning location”
Reviewed 4 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

What an amazing place..the scenery all around is truly spectacular and on a clear day the view of the Canigou is something else. An absolute definite for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The pool is huge and very refreshing especially when the temperature outside is so high. My 16 year old loved it. We visited the nearby caves (10 mins)..again, truly amazing and cool inside, so a welcome trip away from the heat. You can walk into the village in 10 mins and the central square has restaurants and cafes so you can sit and relax. We enjoyed a very delicious meal at the Cortal. Rosie and Andy are such lovely hosts. They made us so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The bed and breakfast rooms are lovely -you can make yourself a cuppa in the morning and sit outside by the pool enjoying the sun. Typical continental breakfast with fresh baguette and croissants...fantastic! Get yourselves there..you will love it!

“Beautiful bite, fabulous views, warm welcome”
Reviewed 21 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

A wonderful place to be. If you want fabulous views, peace and quiet but only one hour from the med and a 10 minute walk into the village for restaurants a DNS hops, then I cannot recommend this place highly enough. There's mountain walking, cycling and in winter you are 1hr for the slopes. This place has everything and we will definitely be back! It even kept our 17 year old daughter entertained!

“Lovely B&B in a superb location”
Reviewed 11 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This a a lovely B&B in a superb location. It is only a short walk from the town centre (Vernet-Les-Bains). The food in the restaurants there was all good and (maybe to some degree because of the exchange rate) good value.

Rosie and Andy were very flexible and accommodating hosts. A couple of initial problems were dealt with quickly, allowing us to enjoy our stay.Rosie went out of her way to see that we were happy. The accommodation is comfortable and clean and the pool clear and refreshing (note that it is 1.5m deep so not suitable for young non-swimmers).

There is plenty to do in the area and the hosts were good at finding places for us to visit.

If you like dark skies, then you will be happy here. I had the best view of the Milky Way so far.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

You have inspired us to appreciate the beautiful skies here and Andy sat out for most of the night last night to experience the meteor showers! “Great find, lovely people, superb accomodation and fantastic views.”
Reviewed 31 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

What a great place, close to a village with all the amenities, good local restaurants and bars. Amazing walking country and lots to see in the vicinity. It's too good to share but at the same time I want to tell everybody about this wonderful bit of France.
Andy and Rosie are so helpful and are able to point you to all the best spots.
The on site swimming pool is super, heated and big enough to do proper swimming if that's your thing.

“Can we come again please? But ssshhhh!”
Reviewed 18 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Wow! What a great little find this was. It's hidden away in a wee secret part of France that we literally stumbled across and that happened to be free - far south, but mountainous so almost the perfect climate. This little gite is packed with character - old from the outside, modern, fresh and clean from the inside and with amazing views all around. The enormous pool was heated to perfection and just what we needed after all day walking (they were very good too - lots to see). The weather was a bit mixed but it was still warm and agreeable. The village (a few minutes walk down hill) didn't disappoint either. Don't really want to tell everyone about this special part of France, we want to keep it to ourselves! Thanks for making it a very memorable, relaxing and special week away.
