We were at AH! in march ...and we went back for some more ....
Again a more than wonderful stay in this laid back town with laid back hosts and their wonderful staff . Don't let the watershortage withhold you from going to this guesthouse you will hardly notice it . Excellent chef's table two or three times a week , excellent firm beds, wonderful shower , parking right in front of the building . Did many lovely beachwalks on almost deserted beaches ; all very safe in Paternoster !Some great restaurants that wil be prebooked when you arrive so you can sit back and relax the minute you enter AH! Our main reason for becoming returning guests are the hosts Arnold and Annalise ........with whom we had many laughs during diners and breakfasts. Breakfasts from heaven I might add..Please send me a pm if you want to know more about AH! O and you can have a inhouse massage that Arnold can arrange for you .
And yes ....already booked for next year march.....what can I say.....

Room tip: Ask for the chef's table !

This was our third visit to Ah! and we were not disappointed. Arnold and Annelise are amazing hosts and the food is amazing - a 3 course breakfast that looks almost too good to eat and tastes even better. Arnold cooks dinner a couple of times a week - don't miss it ! The rooms are wonderfully decorated with the most comfortable beds and gorgeous linen. Its a few paces from the beach with beautiful views. Its at the end of the road so its very peaceful. I'm looking forward to our next visit :-)

Well appointed rooms with nice little touches and attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious and prepared and served by owner/chef and added a real personal touch to the experience. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful and is just a few minutes walk from the beach where you can watch the sun set over the sea with seagulls and Oystercatchers for company.

The reviews are true. The hosts really go beyond the extra mile. We went for a weekend but felt like we had a long holiday. Lovely place with so much personality. Oh an excellent quality bedding- I’m a sucker for that!

We found the Guest House easily and when we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown to our, very well appointed, room. That's where a most glorious weekend started!

Arnold, our host, was very pleasant and immediately made us realise we had made the right choice of venue.

However, it just got better and better.

Breakfast the following morning was served at a communal table where all the guests sat, at the same, appointed time. Breakfast was not your usual run-of-the-mill choice of various selections. It was a freshly created, feast! Each of the guests were quiet and subdued among complete strangers - but not for long! As we made our way through each of the specially prepared courses - yes, courses!, we all began to chat and by he end of breakfast we were all friends!!! Breakfast was a most convivial atmosphere and a simply sumptuous delight. Each morning was a different preparation and a most glorious way to start each day.

Although we knew Paternoster, we had asked if our host could book us into restaurants for our three evenings. We had also heard however, through friends, that Arnold was a very accomplished chef. This didn't need any qualification as breakfast had already illustrated that. So we dined out for two nights at the recommended wonderful venues and our third evening - our last supper! - was provided by Arnold, in-house, for all of us.

Well, eat your heart out Luke Dale Roberts, but the meal was truly wonderful!! Each of us around the table were now life-long friends.....

We left on Monday morning wondering when we could return - as we surely will......

A truly wonderful experience with wonderful people. You MUST experience it.

Room tip: Try for a room upstairs............
