Visited on a lovely warm day and sat in garden patio with husband and dog. Lovely looking over the water. We decided to eat and had fish n chips and he had the haggis in pastry followed by choc brownie for me and husband had a traditional scottish pudding that we can't recall name of possibly called cranachan. All the food was delicious and served by friendly staff very quickly. Def a highspot of our holiday! Would rush back in a heartbeat.

Decided to eat here as it is dog friendly and open all day Saturday for food. Lovely friendly staff, nice busy atmosphere without being over crowded. The menu was a bit limited, but the food was well cooked and the service very good. The outside seating area was particularly nice, but we were there on a windy day and opted to sit inside. They have a karioki evening on Saturday’s if that’s your thing.

We stayed in a private 6bed room (3 sets bunk beds). Definitely the comfiest bed of our trip with an absolutely fantastic view of the water from the window. The room had plenty of space and plugs but would have been nice to have a chair to sit on in stead of the beds. Plenty of toilets and shower rooms and they even had a laundry/ drying room which was great as we got soaked that day! One thing that did kind of throw us city girls off was that our room didn't have a lock & key - it was a little unsettling and we weren't comfortable leaving our valuables. The door also took quite a bit of effort to properly close due to the fire safety hinge that was on it (very stiff).
We had our evening meal in the old inn - cosy Scottish pub with lots of daily specials and a great menu. After some great food and drink we had an early night and slept like logs! There was some noise of doors banging etc but nothing a set of earplugs didn't sort out! Views surrounding property are absolutely stunning, even on a wet cloudy day! Talisker distillery is in walking distance and the Fairy Pools are just 10 mins up the road by car!

We stayed in the Lodge. Very basic room - which would have been fine but the price was extortionate. We stayed elsewhere on Skye in another (classier) pub and in a far better room for less money. The Lodge is like a backpackers hostel - not worth the price. Sorry.

We arrived here as we specifically wanted to visit the Talisker Distillery. We hadn't booked in advance. The accomodation was basic, but very clean. The staff were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. The pub was full of friendly locals, and the atmosphere relaxed. The cost was probably a bit overpriced, but for 1 night it was good.
