“Great view, good space, comfortable and convenient.”
Reviewed 24 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Stayed for week after our daughter got married in St Ives. Location is good, walking distance to St Ives, although the uphill walk back is a challenge, but taxis are easy to get, and cheap. House has great views over the bay, and is spacious and comfortable. The decor is not very modern, but is in good order and clean.

“Lovely Location, Space Venue”
Reviewed 5 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had a lovely stay at Michel and would reccommed highly.

It is a 9 minute walk to Carbis Bay and a good 20 min walk to St Ives. We originally looked to be in St Ives but are so pleased we booked here. Parking is ample and on our fist day we tried to park in St Ives and for the rest of our stay took the train or bus. Be aware that the train to and from St Ives is every hour.

Michel is dated but this is not imposing at all. it has large spacious rooms. we were 4 adults and 2 children (7 and 9) and we felt like we still had plenty of space.

Tesco is a 2 minute drive for all your conveniences and there is a brillaint shed in season to the right of the store that sells everything you need for time on the beach.

Fantastic location for walking into St Ives , great views over Carbis Bay which is within a comfortable distance to walk to. The house is very comfortable especially the king size bed with glorious views from the window. Lovely sized private garden and parking is available. Kitchen and bathroom needs a little modernising but quite adequate, the house is very spacious and in a quiet area. We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again and again.

“Lovely house, excellent location, fabulous views”

A really lovely house, if a little dated inside (think 1970s!). Very spacious with a lovely secluded back garden which we didn't use as you couldn't see the view from it! The views from the back windows in particular from the main bedroom are stunning and I couldn't bear to sit anywhere but looking out of the window. It was a joy to open the bedroom curtains every morning to see the view. There are three double rooms, which is great unless your teenage sons decide they don't want to share a bed, but there was plenty of room to make up a bed elsewhere. The main bedroom is modern are the bed is huge with lovely linen and the sunlight floods in in the morning (I felt like I was in an IKEA commercial). It would be helpful to have a mirror in the main bedroom close to one of the plug sockets or maybe one on the landing. There isn't a dishwasher and no wifi either (both of which we've come to expect to have pretty much as standard these days).
It's a 10 minute walk to Carbis Bay beach (lovely and a bit quieter than St Ives) or train station, 5 mins to Tesco or 20 mins to St Ives along the coastal path (we are a fit family used to hill walking so longer if you're not!!) and it is very steep. Take a torch if you are going to walk at night. The off road parking is great as long as you have a good handbrake, as the drive slopes down very steeply to the garage, the road is quite narrow, but it is possible to park on the road if you wish.
I would definitely recommend this house as a great place to stay.

“Comfortable, quiet location near to magnificant beaches”
Reviewed 11 November 2012 for a stay in October 2012

We spent a wonderful long weekend in St Ives and were very grateful for the car parking facility at Michelle's. The house is clean, comfortable, with efficient central heating and suited our needs during an autumn weekend. The large picture windows at the rear of the house gave us beautiful views of Carbis Bay which is within walking distance. A large supermarket is conveniently 5 minutes walk away. I will have no hesitation in recommending Michelle to friends as good value for money.
