As for previous years the experience was excellent. The Hotel continues to add new facilities and maintains the superb attitude of all staff. A great place to relax and unwind with wonderful views and super food.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in April, We had a balcony room overlooking the pool and the sea, the room was perfect, spacious, clean, and bright. The food in the hotel was excellent, with a choice to suit everyone, in fact our daughter who was staying nearby came to dinner with us one night and was so pleased that even though she only eats vegetarian and gluten free she still had a good choice of those foods.
The staff were attentive and helpful at all times.
The Hotel is in a quiet location with its own terrace right on the seafront with plenty of sunbeds and a bar serving food and drink.
The town can be reached by taxi for approximately 5 euros but another option is to walk along the Pine Walk which has some lovely views and would take about 20 minutes to walk to town.
All in all it is a wonderful hotel and we shall definitely return soon.

We had another fantastic week in the Illa d'Or, we went in April and had a great time. Our room had a sea view overlooking the pool, the room was spacious and was kept lovely and clean throughout our stay. We stayed on half board basis and enjoyed every meal provided, the restaurant and bar staff always very pleasant. We hope to return for in the future.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are the best.

We had a fabulous holiday here. The hotel is really lovely, clean well run and modern but with character. The hotel manager is a chap who’s watchful eye is everywhere. You can easily spot him, he looks like the tv cop Kojak . The food is very good. We were B&B only but chose to eat in the hotel twice and both times it was very good and at 30 Euros, excellent value. The waiting staff in the bar areas are managed by Pedro, a chap who never stands still. The result is a very good service. The bar lunch menu is limited but we enjoyed everything we had there.
We booked through a TUI. We paid for a balcony room and we got one , but..... the balcony was right over the main door and set back in the building , overlooking the side road , there was a huge pine tree that acted as a canopy , which dropped pine needles all over the place . The balcony only ever got a splinter of sunshine and we never used it. I would like to go back there but I would book direct and specifically ask for a sea view or a room that overlooks the pool, some pool view rooms are side on so you wouldn’t necessarily have much of a sea view , but others face the pool and look directly over it to the pine walk and the sea. Our room was 229, it is a disabled room, which is fine for those who need it but the thick double pull down wall mounted hand rails in the bathroom ,in the shower and on both sides of the toilet felt like they were in our way and unsightly for a romantic break . The shower was huge, but had a dangerously slippery floor, no gripping area and no rubber mat . The single shower head was tiny, no power shower just the pressure from the plumbing system , it wasn’t pleasant or practical to use. Excellent toiletries left everyday by the hardworking cleaning staff. The only thing we would change was the room, which didn’t exactly spoil our holiday but disappointed our expectations. We are not the sort to complain , but I’m pretty sure the hotel was not full and they could have given us another room , I felt a bit like they put us in there because we were package tour guests and there were no disabled guests who needed it, so it was good enough. I blame the TUI description really because it didn’t make it clear that the balcony was facing the road. We were unlucky in that respect so follow up your booking with an email and make sure you get a balcony worth having if you have paid for one.
