“Great base to Co. Clare”
Reviewed 22 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We spent the second week in August and we really love it. We met PJ and Margaret at pre-arranged time at Burren Centre in Kilfenora. They waited for us for around one hour the time pre-arranged but they didn't mind. On the contrary, they welcomed us very friendly and followed them out the road to Brook Cottage. Tea, coffee and cake were out waiting in the kitchen for us!

The house is just as in the photos, nice and comfy. We dined every night in the cottage, as it had everything to cook. We played games with the children everyday, as there was no wifi they forgot about their chats and games with their friends on the mobile. It was perfect!

We very much recommend the cottage and the location.

Thank you Margaret!!

After a wonderful one-week boat trip on river barrow my Partner and me stayed in Ireland for one more week-and Brook Cottage was the best choise to relax and enjoy nature.it was a bit big for just the two for us-but then we had lived in rather cramped conditions on the boat.So we enjoyed to have so many rooms for ourselves, and everythings was absolutely nice comfortable and clean:the big kitchen with everything you needto prepar ameal at home.the livingroom with TV,a fireplace, two bathroom and a loveley garden with a brook. We could even use the washingmachine, whichmight be quite important to know for families with kids. And you can have barbecues in the garden. It is absolutely quiet, and a car is "Amust",we think. And then you visit lost or place in less than an hour.Kilfenora itself is also a nice little village with two very good Pubs.So all in allwe can definitely recommend this place for a stay, with Margret and P.J. being very friendly helpful hosts.

“Holidayed in Co.Clare with husband and 3 boys had a great time!!”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Visited Co Clare for a week in July we all had a great time with plenty to do. Loved the area, especially all the do with Father Ted!! Brook Cottage was lovely and Margaret and her husband couldn't have been more welcoming. Kettle was boiled and buns left for us to enjoy after our long drive. Cottage had everything we needed for us and our 3 boys,
Would recommend Brook Cottage as a great base to see all of Co.Clare.

“Beautiful, clean, family friendly cottage.”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We are just back from our stay at Brook Cottage and we are delighted to say it was a great holiday. Brook Cottage was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed. Margaret and PJ were friendly and thoughtful leaving as the other reviews said a warm welcome of tea and buns on arrival. They also had games for the children if we didn't get nice weather. The
Cottage is on a quiet site just outside the village of Kilfenora and has a 3 acre field adjacent, perfect for the kids to run around in. The barbecue was spotless and we used it a few times when the weather was good. The cottage is a perfect base for touring Co.Clare. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and will book it again ourselves in the future.

“Excellent place to stay in and just to be”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

After we had phoned Margaret about our expected arrival time we can't wait to get to the cottage we have seen so many times in the internet before. We arrived in the early evening and were warmly welcomed by Margaret and PJ.
They have already prepared the chimney and also brought us some cake and milk for welcome. That was amazing.
After we've met each other Margaret showed us the whole property. There are two bed rooms one where 3 people can sleep and one with a private bathroom with shower and toilet! She had prepared all the beds with linen already, and there were enough towels as well. And in the kitchen. Nothing there is missing, a dishwasher, an oven, everything is there and you have plenty of space. There is a huge table where six persons can fit for diner and lunch.
And in a small room close to the garden, she showed us the dryer and washing mashine. That was really great to have because if you are travelling for a long time you definitely will enjoy the smell of fresh laundry ;-)
The kitchen is huge and the garden around the house just beautiful. You can see some cows at the next property and there is a very small river just behind the cottage. It is a real quiet property but you are able to reach fantastic spots and also main tourist attractions within minutes. So we had a fantastic week out there and defintly will come back.
