Just returned from a week all inclusive at the magic sports , wasn’t sure what to inspect on arrival after reading some bad reviews. However like every all inclusive yeah the food was a bit hit and miss. And definitely could do with more staff serving at the bars to
Cope with queues no fault However the people working there as they were lovely and worked hard . hotel was spotless especially the rooms and pools. entertainment wasn’t the greatest but I’ve seen worse. But for the money you can’t go wrong

Absolutely disgusting, buffet food is freezing cold, majority of staff are rude, flys everywhere, including all over your food. No kid friendly food like nuggets etc. went all inclusive and spent more money buying food out because the food was disgusting.

I'm not one for writing negative reviews however I think sometimes it's important people truely get the overall of this hotel from a none fussy English family.
I came here for my 40th with my 2 sisters & mum. On arrival it seemed OK & we wondered what all the negative reviews were about , reception staff on arrival were friendly and spoke enough English to make the check in simple , quick & easy. We had rooms 508 & 511 , beds extremely big and comfortable thats why this place had the 1 star simply for the beds.
As the 4 day stay went on it was evident why the the bad reviews were there 🤦‍♀️ when going for food go early as the hygiene/ cross contamination levels soon go to zero. 🤮 even one of the staff putting the clean glasses out wiped his runny on his hand and continued to put the glasses out!
I won't mention the food itself as I think that's a personal preference and there is a good variety.
The cleanliness of the place was shocking , sick , food , spilt drinks & even 💩 in the jacuzzi. Pontins and skeggy in the UK is cleaner and that's saying something!
The biggest issue that could actually change alot of this is the lack of staff at the hotel for the volume of people that are there. The staff evidently try as hard as they can but it definitely needs at least 4x the amount to mange the hygiene/ cleanliness levels.
Noone can control the weather but on one of the nights it was raining really bad none stop HOWEVER it was coming through the hotel where the entertainment was and got that bad I was sat with & brolly up , entertainment just left as it was dangerous with the electrics they were using & everywhere was just soaked! It was so bad we laughed so hard or we'd have cried! 🤣
Sunbeds werent an issue to get , pool lifeguards were only around on one of the days , poolside entertainment absolutely pathetic no effort made whatsoever and the entertainer just put the inflatable balloon wedge in a tree in the end, she just couldn't be bothered 🤦‍♀️ x

Please be aware you need to buy a cup card for €1 on arrival (we weren't told this until we had waited 45 mins to get to the bar) .....so when u want a drink u hand them the card and each time you want a drink you can take that plastic beaker back to the bar to get another drink. Be prepared to queue for a while to get a drink they're very understaffed but the bar staff really do work hard.

By no means are we fussy AT ALL , we made do and because it was so BAD we laughed our way though it & just became our own entertainment. If I'd have been with my husband and kids 100% we wouldve left on the 2nd day ......The people i was with made it the best time out of a bad situation & I'm greatful to this beautiful disaster of a place for the storey i will tell forever about my 40th birthday 🤣🤣 We all have said we would never return and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone HOWEVER that doesn't mean your experience would be the same as ours.
So if u choose to go I really do hope you have a great time , enjoy the comfy beds they really are AMAZING but stay away from room 508 it stinks everytime u flush the loo 🤮 x

All the best to this hotel in the future it's got alot of potential with alot more staff.

So I have just spent 11 nights in the magic sports hotel and in all honesty I would t go back unless some things were to change. I did a review while i was there after a couple of days and after spending 11 nights there im updatung my opinion.
regards to the food, it was all catering for the Spanish taste and not alot to chose from other then pasta, fries and on occasion an egg when the girls making them were not to snotty. I was served by 2 different women and when I asked for the eggs the way I like them I got dirty looks from both on every occasion, for aomw reaaon rhe burger meat was pink inside and out and the hotdogs would be sqatmed with flies if you didnt get to them early. we were a party of 6 and we spent alot of our time hungry because we didnt like the food, my 10 year old is a very adventurous eater while my 5 year old is extremely picky and neither of them would eat the food. we would try eat out as much as possible even though we paid for the ultra all inclusive.
staff were very rude except for 3 of the reception staff that spoke English and one guy who was head over the buffet, also john who entertained the kids was so nice (also spoke English). If I asked for a drink the way I wanted it from bar staff I would get bad attitude 90% of the time and they didn't like to be asked or put out. The allergy information was like a foreign concept to the staff and if I asked in one of the restaurants or buffet about nuts in a product I was told every time that they dont think there was nuts, I would insist that the product be checked and after checking I would be told alot of the time that there was nuts, I explained on numerous occasions that my daughter could die and I was still given a shoulder shrug or a "no I don't think there is any nuts" only when insisting for the ingredients to be checked would we find out they were wrong and could have cost my 5 year old her life. I requested on multiple occasions that the allergy information be visible and the lovely lady at the desk did everything she could to accommodate us except for putting the information on all the food products. I'm very greatful for her help and I appreciate that it may have been higher ups that ran the hotel that had the say to show the allergy information in the buffet. The rooms were beautiful and well kept and we were very happy with everything regarding the rooms.
We did get a vomiting bug but luckily it was a 24 hour bug and we got over it quickly, I understand it's not possible to contain these bugs in hotels as hospitals would struggle, we were breaking out in hives all over our legs and thinking they were maybe tiny insect bites I figured it would pass but in the airport I started getting new hives and now home more then 24 hours we are still getting new ones so I'm hoping it's not something more nastier then insects, a trip to the doc on Monday will let me know more.
The cleaning staff were always around cleaning and all seemed good in that aspect.

The pools were great fun and the slides were brilliant. The kids were never bored and there was lots to do. 90% of the entertainment was in Spanish, we didnt use the kids club at all because i didnt want my kids to feel left out because of the language barrier.
we booked the magic show and upon arriving we noticed the water from the rain was running down the inside of the walls and pudding on the floor or an old abandoned building where the show was held, the magic show was %100 in Spanish and my 5 year old was very upset as she couldn't understand anything, we then left after 10 mins and made our way to the enchanted gardens, it was an old rundown building, the gardens show was 95% Spanish and I could somewhat follow the storyline but my 5 year old was lost to it but enjoyed it anyway because it was theatre style with fire and dancing, the sound effects of the water poring into a wheelybin from the roof next to us was an added feature, aswell as rain poring In in a few other places in the building,
You can see the area surrounding the resort has amazing potential, it is very run down but it looks like the magic resorts are going to be doing alot of upgrades in the community. And new purchases of older hotels nearby, so it will be interesting to see how it goes over the next few years.
The parade runs through the town organised by the magic resorts and it's brilliant for the kids, they even let you pay to have you child dress up and take part in the parade,
The beach is a stones throw from the hotel and easly accessed by the train that is provided by the resort and passes the hotel every half hour.

I wouldn't go back as it stands due to the lack of allergy information aswell as they only really cater for the Spanish pallet, very few people speak English and we felt like they would look down on us and had an awful attitude towards us.

All in all we made the best of it and we had a blast at the pool and enjoyed the restaurants, the games zone, and the beautiful birthday cake the hotel made us for my daughter at no extra cost.

I'll keep an eye on the progress of the resort as it has the potential to be absolutely amazing.

The beds are really comfortable, the pools and slides are good, the novelty rooms are interesting and the wrist strap for your door key is great however the food is mediocre at best, the customer service is the worst we've seen, the check in/reception is a disaster with no information given at all, the on line chats take 24 hours to get back to you with generic replies, in the 4 days we've been here we have only seen 3 members of staff who have been anything close to friendly. You have to queue for everything... You can't even fill your own soft drinks or beer like in most other all inclusive resorts and you also have to queue to return your plastic cups. This evening for instance my husband had to queue for almost 45 mins for 1 round of drinks and we will now need to queue again to return our cups or we loose our deposit! We have also tried to book the 'experiences' and restaurants included in our booking which has to be done through the app but it won't let us. We will definitely not be returning here and for once we are looking forward to heading home. Any other guests we have spoken to so far have had the same experience as us.

I took my mum and 13 year old daughter and we stayed for a week we decided to upgrade from inclusive to ultra which cost €150 for all of us for the week which in my opinion was worth it

The cons first
Very little staff that speak english
Didnt explain how to use the app to book activities , only knew from speaking to others and them helping and explaining it all
Food was never piping hot unless u had it cooked fresh off the grill
And the flies are awful round the pool
Ques for bars for drink are long as not enough staff or they leave you waiting and spanish get served first
Air con in rooms was pointless not even worth having on
And need more rings and mats for the water slides as spanish take em and pass them round to each other and struggled to get ago

The pros
Rooms were very clean and maids came everyday with fresh towels and made beds and our mini fridge was re stocked daily
Hotel was spotless , cleaners walking round all day
Ultra inclusive for drinks and food at other bars , enjoyed the americian diner place
Spa was amazing
Enchanted garden was worth watching
Theme park had something for all ages
Irish bar was better for us in eves as mostly english ppl but again not enough bar staff
Train comes very regularly

Been to worse but all in all enjoyed our stay and if they got more staff and more that spoke english and sorted flies out would much a massive difference

Need mats in reception when rains as floor gets very slippery

And be prepared for no shopping as not very many shops or anything about but keep making improvements and employe more staff that can speak all languages would help out loads

Would defo return but maybe in a few years
