“Pre baby getaway ”
Reviewed 12 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Spent the first week of October here visiting family in Brighton. Ideal location for exploring the south coast too.

The lodge is fantastically decorated and furnished we loved it. Very very comfy beds

The only and it really is the only down side and a minor one at that - it would have been lovely to have the decking with a small fenced area so we could have opened the doors and let the dog roam in and out as she pleased.

Anyone who goes needs to pay a visit next door to the South Downs heritage centre - the food and local produce is fantastic

We stayed for a long weekend for a friends wedding in Brighton. It was great to be close to the South Downs and we had a fabulous walk from the Jack and Jill windmills along the ridge that we could see from our lodge across to Ditchling Beacon. The owners were great and the lodge itself was clean comfortable and kitted out with all mod cons and felt very safe and secluded. The Jack and Jill pub a short walk away was perfect for dinner in the evening and The Bull in Ditchling does a fabulous Sunday roast dinner. Wonderful place to relax and retreat.

“excellent lodge with fantastic views”

We arrived at the lodge a little early but the owner checked over the property and let us in. Once inside I was surprised that the lodge was so spacious, clean, modern and a big bonus was the beautiful view from the patio. Everything you could possibly need was included and we felt at home straight away. We had a fantastic stay thoroughly enjoying the cycle trail through the south downs way and our trip to Brighton and the good variety of public houses to eat out. I would definitely recommend these lodges to anyone wanting a holiday either for relaxing or getting out and about.

“Wonderful stay in a wonderful lodge”

A beautiful, clean, well equiped, quiet and warm lodge in a secluded location
just off the main road into Hassocks. We stayed in Oak Lodge towards the end
of February. The lodge is of a very high spec and equiped with everything you
could need. The rooms are warm and cosy especially the lounge area when the
sun comes through the large windows. Comfortable bed and lovely crisp linen
with a lovely ensuite and fab large shower. Its a great location in the South
Downs, just minutes drive to Hassocks for local shops and places to eat, just
10 mins drive to Burgess Hill and just 15mins to the centre of Brighton. It's
easy to find and a very quiet secluded location. There are 3 lodges on this
relatively new site which seem have been very well built and the site itself
is very pretty. There is a lovely garden centre next to the entrance of the
site with a very nice restaurant to the rear set in a very pretty barn
conversion, we ate there a few times including breakfast. We would definitely
stay here again without hesitation. We booked via Blue Chip Holidays who were great to deal with very friendly and helpful and great communication with reminder emails
and texts, would book a holiday with them again, without hesitation.
Many thanks for a lovely stay.
