Great place to enjoy the sunset while having a drink. The view is absolutely beautiful, the service is impeccable, the presentation is exquisite and the food was very good. The chef came to explain the menu directly to each table and told us he mainly used local products in his creations. I highly recommend a stop for a drink or dinner!

The setting is five star, the cooking is attempting to match up, but failing.

The service was very good and I enjoyed the interactions with the staff. The chef explained the menu choices personally and the waiters were faultless.

The lush gardens, impressive architecture and tasteful decor are truly lovely, surpassed only by the spectacular ocean view. We arrived shortly before sunset and were very, very impressed with the place. It is an intimate and beautiful setting.

Our three course meal for two, with one bottle of the cheapest wine on the menu and two aperitifs was $200.

My starter of carpaccio of beetroot consisted of three or four micro thin slices of beetroot, with a scant shaving of Parmesan? and a couple of tasteless leaves and some ubiquitous and predictable foam/purée. It tasted ok, and was very forgettable.

My companion’s starter of mushroom tart was exquisite. The scant few mouthfuls were delicious. It was delicate at the same time as being packed with flavour. The chef is clearly capable of flashes of perfection.

The main course was belly of pork. The portion size was frankly insulting. It was about half the size of a cigarette packet. The accompaniment was a slab of tough, bitter, undercooked and lightly charred cauliflower and a small smear of potato and lemongrass purée and a scattering of micro sized, unidentifiable vegetable slices. I think there was half a raw Brussel sprout in there too. But the worse thing about this dish was the lukewarm, gelatinous and relatively tasteless pork.

However, by far the most disappointing thing about this dining experience was the dessert.

Crepe Suzette with flambéed fruit. This consisted of a flabby, anaemic, naked crepe stuffed with inelegant chunks of hot pineapple and mango. This jarred with some blackberry (I think it was blackberry. Identified by the numerous pips in it. Sieve the purée next time please) sorbet on the side. There appeared to be zero Cointreau or any other alcohol in this dish, and I’ve never been served a flambé anywhere in the world that was not flamed in any way. Where was the luscious orange sauce? There was none. This dessert exhibited zero skill in either the cooking or presentation. It was a lazy conclusion to the meal.

All of the ingredients used were low cost and the profit margins must be sky high. The serving sizes are tiny and reminiscent of 1980’s nouvelle cuisine. We left hungry, disappointed and will not return.

The food was excellent, the service outstanding, always attentive but never obnoxious. High quality for the money. This restaurant is not from the cheap side but worth every penny.
Enyoy your meal!

For lunch not recommended, it’s very expensive and the food is of poor Quality and small amount, besides it has few options of dishes. For dinner it’s a lot different, the food is Wonderfull and very nice service.
