What a great place to stay with a family- including my 90 year old mother! Pool was wonderful, and people were very helpful. Saw toucans and macaws regularly and howler monkeys greeted us with their calls in the early morning. Our kids were able to drive down to local beaches to go surfing and near by restaurants are available. The drive up is worth it!
My 23 year old son and I just spent a week at Osa Mountain Village, and our vacation could not have been any better. The accommodations were perfect - a 2 bedroom, eco-friendly (yet luxurious) villa with a huge terrace right smack dab in the middle of the rain forest -- and with a stream running under the deck. Wow. We went to sleep to the sound of a rushing stream and woke up to the sound of every imaginable jungle creature - monkeys, tree frogs, you name it.
Our days were very full -- we actually didn't have time to see everything we wanted to see or do everything we wanted to do. Osa Mountain has a ton of activities on-site -- from an incredible "Superman" zip line, to a canopy tour encompassing 9 zip lines, waterfall hikes, butterfly sanctuary, animal rescue facility -- all of which we did -- plus night hikes, eco-hikes, jungle camping, deep sea fishing, mangrove tours, whale watching….. whew. We also visited several local beaches, as well as Manual Antonio, which is very nearby.
This is one gorgeous place on planet Earth - it evokes my view of the Garden of Eden. And speaking of views -- the ocean views from up at Osa Mountain Village just simply can not be beat.
Five stars and a big thumbs up.
