The apartment was very comfortable and was as advertised.
Lucia was very friendly and helpful in making arrangements before we travelled and she met us with her family when we arrived late on our designated arrival date.
Although there were no specialised disabled facilities, we managed just fine with my Mother (who is confined to a wheelchair). The second bathroom (with toilet and bidet, but no shower) was very useful for our party of four.
We stayed in Balestrate before the main tourist season but even so, parking on the road would have been a challenge at busy times, so it was very useful to be able to park our hire car on the forecourt of the property behind electronic gates. Likewise
the outdoor space was very welcome and we spent happy hours soaking up the sun on the patio.
The self-catering facilities were OK for our needs (which included making coffee in the expresso machine, cooling beer in the fridge and doing a midweek clothes wash). I am not sure that I would have wanted to have cooked every night in the kitchen for a larger party, but the excellent situation with many excellent bars, restaurants and bakeries, not to mention a good supermarket, all within a few meters, made this unnecessary anyway.
The apartment does not have a sea view from the flat, but a pleasant stretch of promenade with a great view of the bay is literally 2 minutes walk away and the main sandy beach is just a further 5 minutes walk. There are some easy day trips within an hours drive to Scopello, Monreale, Segesta, Palermo and Selinunte.
