This is the 2nd time we have been to this hotel me my 4 year old son and it’s really good especially for kids, you couldn’t ask for more

Room -we had a sliding door room and the room was spotless.we didn’t have WiFi in the room but that didn’t bother us because if we needed the WiFi then we would just sit where you could get it which was in most places

Food-the food was really good.such a choice.i don’t know how anyone can say anything different with so much choice .defintly improved from last year.we ate in the special restaurants as well And again food was excellent

Pools- we sat around the splash pool every day and my son loved it.yes if you didn’t put a towel on a sunbed before 8am most days then you would have to sit around the other pools but plenty of sun beds to pick from
The beach was really good with plenty of sun beds available all day

My son loved the entertainment at night in the amphitheater and was his favourite part of his holiday and Niall is hilarious in fact all of the entertainment team are excellent.they have so much energy !!

Kids club-also fantastic.my son wanted to go to them all and again the guys running them are fantastic

My only criticism is the bar is too far away when your sat in the amphitheatre unless you go to the little bar near it but that only serves bear and wine , but was a small price to pay to see you child having such good fun watching the shows and joining in with all the games !!

Would definitely recommend if you have children and would definitely return!!

Sam

Just got back from 11 nights as a family of 4 adults, a 11 year old and 6 year old. Great time had by all. None stop fun for the kids which means grown ups happy too. If you want peace and quiet don't come but if you want a fun packed family holiday in a beautiful location then it's perfect.

This hotel is absolutly awful. The rooms are absolutly filthy we stayed in 3! And they were all vile. Food is rancid! And hotel managers n staff are nowhere to be seen! Entertainment is also shocking!

We came to Kos HV as a family of four (children 2 and 5) and had a very nice holiday (we've been to Rhode and Cyprus HVs and Crete Sensatori).

Room: Our room was very nice (sliding partition family room) and in a really convenient position for the splash pool. It did however seem a little more cramped than the room we had at Cyprus HV. We had no issues with bugs which other people have reported and we were on the ground floor. The shower was a bit temperamental- there seemed to be no thermostatic regulators on these which is important for safety when kids are showering.

Resort layout: The resort itself is fairly compact and I liked the layout with the shaded play park next to the splash pool. However, the compact nature of the resort means it's difficult to get away from the loud music which is played by the activity pool all day.

Food and drink: The food was plentiful and on the whole, nice quality. There was plenty of fresh fruit. The beer was nice and the wine drinkable. The use of single use plastic at this resort is however terrifying! Soooo much plastic- First Choice please think about the environmental impact of this. Can reusable plastic not be used (as we've experienced in the senator in crete). Another small thing which would make a great deal of difference is if coffee/tea and drinks were served at the table in the main restaurant. By the time we had collected food and drinks for us and our small children, the children were almost finished their meal. The food in the snack bar was not great quality- I would have preferred to see Greek salads of a decent size and then I would probably have eaten by the pool at lunchtime. Please invest in a new cabinet freezer for the snack bar! With the best will in the world, that freezer can not be kept looking clean with exposed seals.

Entertainment- it was standard HV style and my girls loved it however Russell the Brussel is dire. He's like a vegetable incarnation of Nigel Farage, just awful. The entertainment team is fantastic- where on earth do they get their energy from? They seem to be on the go all day and into the evening. We liked the crafting activity by the splash pool and the stay and play sessions. The nursery staff were lovely and friendly.

Kos- we would love to come back to Kos and do a bit more exploring but what we have seen, we think is beautiful. We went on a 3 island boat trip with Tigaki Express and although we were a little packed onto the boat, the destinations were very worthwhile and we even saw some dolphins. We had a lovely meal in Marmari one evening and watched the sunset.

The beach outside the hotel is one of the reasons our holiday was so good- it was lovely to go play on such a beautiful sandy beach and the sea was so warm to swim in.

Overall, we had a great holiday and would like to return to Kos. We are however unsure we will do all inclusive in future now that our children can behave themselves in restaurants so this may be our last HV experience. If we do do AI in future we feel that perhaps the Sensatori resort which we have visited strikes a better balance between being suitable for both adults and kids.

We visited here as a family of 3, myself my husband and our 4 year old. Travelled with First Choice from Birmingham early June. Flight or was awful - baby’s on laps in every row of 3 made it very noise and seem very overcrowded and also meant hot food and most drinks and snacks ran out. Kos Airport was not great - very hot and an age for suitcases but TUI reps were ready and waiting outside.

Arrival at the hotel gave a great first impression. Very welcoming staff, welcome drink and bottles of water, help with luggage off the coach and then to room inc a demo of the air con etc. The restaurant was open for food (late night arrival) which wa s Just sandwich stuff but more than welcome. Our room was perfect, (deluxe double) immaculate, perfect size and everything worked as it should.

First day was a bit disappointing due to rubbish weather, but the resort itself was lovely. The splash pool an instant hit with the little one! He also really loved the attention from the reps who go out of their way to greet and make a fuss. He didn’t attend kids club at all but loved the reps and the kids show at night inc the Widgets! The amphitheatre isn’t a great layout and is fairly dangerous for little ones as has been said before but it’s nice to be outside.

The little one did attend swim academy with the excellent Emma who made such a difference in a couple of days. We booked on site half way through the week and I only wish we had done it earlier. He still talks about her every night in the bath and thinks he will be going back to show her how much he loves water now!

Food was fine - standard AI stuff really but lots of choice and variety and all spotless. Very attentive staff and very friendly. Repetitive after a week but that’s always the case, and there’s only so much they can do. Tried the Greek restaurant which was fine, didn’t make it to the steakhouse.

I had a massage in the spa which was excellent, lovely surroundings, great massage and again very friendly staff. Reception staff were lovely, helped whenever we asked and always water on hand to take to room.

The weather picked up after a couple of days and was HOT! The pools are cold but fine once in and a welcome from the heat. Lots of choice of pools! The pool inflatable and the water zorbs were great fun for the little one who amazed me by getting straight in, thanks to the encouraging staff.

All in all a fab holiday with the only negatives being outside of the hotels control. Mostly parents leaving kids to run riot - especially in the kids pool where some were lucky not to have accidents climbing up the slides, over the security fences, going down in large groups etc with parents nowhere to be found, and small kids having to move as it just wasn’t safe.

Room was kept very clean, yes there were a few ants in the bathroom but no big deal and no other bugs.

The staff queued up to give us water and wave us off on the coach home which sums up the staff attitude for me. Go to this hotel with little ones and have a great time!
