Enjoyed my stay on 26th October and will stay again. Would have rated excellent if more car parking was available. Staff very friendly and helpful and catered for my gluten free needs. Will go back to make use of the spa and possibly golf course. Close to Trafford Centre for shopping and other activities.

I cannot fault any aspect of this hotel. Smooth booking; straightforward check-in and check-out; very high-quaity accommodation; easy parking (free); prompt room service; very good leisure facilities including swimming pool; and convenient location.

On top of all that it was such a joy to be constantly met by friendly and helpful staff who would always exchange pleasantries. This attitude is lacking in very many hotels, including some top-rated ones, in the UK, so this was like a breathe of fresh air.

We were not staying at the Marriot but I booked afternoon tea in the Chimneys bar as a treat for a friends 60th birthday. I am surprised the Marriot does not seem to advertise that they actually do serve afternoon teas. A modern display case was brought to our table laden with sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream and assorted mini cakes. The only reason my rating was not the full 5 star was due to telling them, when booking, that I did not want any shell fish, 2 prawn rolls had been included. Though you would never think you could have too much cake, possibly a mini savoury pastry/quiche could replace one of the cake choices which for me would give a better balance. Everything was tasty and well presented, the cakes we could not manage were packed up for us to take home.Very good experience, and a great gift idea.

After booking a family room, surprised that the second double bed was pushed tight against the radiator. This meant a very poor nights sleep as the temperature was too high.
The leisure facilities are full of local members, noisy and not relaxing. The lockers are unworkable.
Would not recommend, staff were not helpful.

We stayed for two nights on a business trip. Our room was as far away from the lifts as it was possible to be and had a view over the laundry, but was perfectly comfortable and clean.

We ate the hotel the first night in the Grill on the Park. We felt the meal was overpriced, although the standard of the meal was fine (steak and chips basically). Light lunchtime bar meals were fine and the breakfast offer was very good with a lot of choice. On the second evening we ate at the Chines restaurant in Worsley Village - really buzzy and great food, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

I had an issue with the Marriott website regarding spa treatments - the website asks for the date of your visits then shows you "only those treatments available on your chosen day". Except they aren't available, so they might as well remove the online booking facility completely. I got a cancellation appointment and the standard of treatment (massage) was excellent. I didn't use the pool, but it looked pleasant with a large jacuzzi.

The grounds and public areas are well kept. There was a wedding in the hotel while we were there and a couple of other wedding parties staying which didn't really impact on the other guests, so was well managed. Service was good from all staff we came into contact with.
