We stayed here on a Groupon deal and it was a lovely break, we stayed for two nights after a night in Padstow & it was a nice contrast.
We chose Smithy Cottage which in hindsight wasn't the best decision! It was early March and very cold, we have no complaints about the cottage as it was only to be expected in such an old building but we think for a winter stay a lodge might've been better.
The location was a bit off the beaten track so a car is absolutely necessary but this made is nice and peaceful and relaxing.
Helen was lovely, very approachable and her mini shop was great, saving us a trip to the shops when we ran out of mixer to go with our vodka! Because the cottage was out of the way we decided to eat out early and come back for a few drinks in the cottage, it was great fun and very romantic, just lucky we had extra jumpers!
There are lots of places to explore and we spent a day walking from Launceston to Tintagle along the coast, it was a long walk but worth it.
