We had already experienced the wonderful diving and resort experience of Brac Reef Resort on Cayman Brac twice. After learning that Reef Divers had purchased and was renovating Cobalt Coast Dive Resort on Grand Cayman (formerly known as Dive Tech) , we decided to check it our for our fall 2018 dive trip. While their renovations are still a work in progress, the place was clean, well managed, and staffed by the same incredible friendly type people that is their trademark with their resorts on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. The diving operation is fully integrated into their operation with a great dive shop, good equipment rentals, great boats and wonderful, knowledgeable dive crews.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay and the wonderful diving. Can't wait to return!

Thank you for your visit and your review, Bruce B. We love when guests who have visited another resort come and try Cobalt Coast Resort. By end of thie year we should have all the bathroom renovations done complete with walk-in showers. And in 2020 our goal is to replace the old locker system with a new dry room much like we have at our other resorts.

We wish you a happy new year and look forward to seeing you back again!

One of the best dive values for the money I have seen in years! Between the Florida Keys, Bonaire, and Belize, the diving, lodging, and food here is by far the very best! I take groups our several times a year and this was clearly the most professional crews, best quality rental dive gear for those who didn't bring their own, best quality dive boats, professional dive crews who really wanted us to have amazing dives, lodging was perfect, and the food was outstanding every meal. Perfect consistent combination to make the trip a complete success!

We stayed for ten days and were at the resort for Christmas. The staff did a great job of accommodating guests during this busy time. We went there to dive and were disappointed that the dive boats were so crowded. Reef Divers staff was helpful and efficient, with safety a priority. However, in my opinion, you can't offer "valet diving" when you have 20 divers and 2 dive staff on the boat. There was one dive guide for 20 divers from beginner to very experienced. Getting everyone in and out of the water was a bit hectic. We were at this resort ten years ago and the dive lockers needed repairs then. They still have the same dive lockers in more need of repair. The rooms are okay. We were told they are in the process of upgrading the bathrooms. The food and the kitchen staff were the highlight of the trip. Meal selection was adequate and food was very good.

Room tip: Second floor rooms are more separated from the pool, dining area, bar.

We appreciate your visit and thank you for your review, nanfla. Please know that replacing the dive lockers with a new dry room is on our "to do" list. It will probably happen in 2020 after we complete all the bathroom renovations this year. When we purchased the resort about 3 years ago, we had to create a list of everything that needed fixing (many things were surprises) and prioritize them. Our biggest reno was completed last year with the removal of the dismal central AC system when we installed new, individuallly controlled units in all the rooms at the main resort. The pool and pool deck were also in need of major repair, which we did. And we built a big shore diving station since one of the reasons many guests choose this resort is because of the excellent diving just off our dock.

Our staff has worked hard on food quality and selection, so we aer pleased you found it very good.

We're sorry you found your dive boat a bit crowded. And the first dive day is always hectic - whether we have 10 divers on the boat or 20. With moored diving, we don't expect everyone to follow the guide which should have been explained during the first briefing, although we realize this is completely foreign to many first-time guests. Our goal is to provide safe, wonderful dives and during the say to make every diver feel more confident and empowered to manage their own dives. This almost always happens with fewer divers choosing to follow the guide each day. Ideally anyone wanting to follow the guide would be the last in the water. But when you have a lot of divers excited about getting in the water, it doesn't always happen. The Valet Service is about how we take the heavy lifting out of your diving (no "tank dancing" on board the boats - you walk to the back where we help you in and out of your gear) and giving you the flexibility to do your own dive.

We wish you a happy new year and hope you will come back here or to one of our other resorts, again.

Top notch dive resort. From the moment I stepped foot on the resort everything flowed seamlessly from gear rental to boat diving. The staff is extremely friendly. They answer all questions and have a professional atmospher but at the same time they know how to have fun. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to have a stellar dive vacation and experience.

We stayed there for a week of diving in May 2017. I love this place and hope to get back there for another visit soon. The rooms were very comfortable. Food was great. The boats are spacious and the dive staff really know what they're doing. Great diving and located right on the water near Hell. The shore diving is excellent. A great way to add a few dives to your week at no extra cost.
