Best to walk with your face to the wind so that it is on your back on your return. Lots of seabirds shell seaweed etc.

Lovely beach backed by dunes for walking the dog and enjoying the sea air. A long walk from end to end. Roughly 20 minutes from Warkworth but there is a car park at the beach.

Title says it all, lovely stretch of sand that my dogs loved racing along. The beach is nice and clean and not too crowded. There is a free car park and it not too long a walk over the dunes to the beach. Only thing I would say that the steps going over the dunes are covered in sand which might make it difficult for people who have walking difficulties or pushing prams or wheelchairs.

Alnmouth is a more popular walk but Warkworth is equally beautiful with stunning views out to Coquet Island and up the coast towards Alnmouth, sand is firm and good to walk on.

Our dogs love running into the sea, exploring the dunes and smuggling as much sand as possible into the car!

Beautiful beach on which you can often be the only person in sight.
