“Delayed flight”
Review of TUI Airways (United Kingdom)

Reviewed 2 weeks ago

In general it was a good flight. Unfortunately we were delayed about one hour, we boarded on time but was then told to undo our seat belts as the plane was being refuelled. Unfortunately the tanker run out of fuel and we had to wait for another tanker to finish refuelling, the first officer apologised and said he was really embarrassed at the situation. After this hiccup the flight was fine.

Flew out from Birmingham to kefalonia with tui on there 757_200 did sit very first seats at the front so had a little more leg room but service was very good on board
Arrived on time and the return flight was the same but had a seat further back but leg room was still good I have to say.
Top marks from me.✈️

We were very disappointed upon arrival at the TUI check in desk and were informed our flight was delayed for seven and a half hours. We were scheduled to fly at 09:25, we left home in the early hours of the morning as we had a couple of hours drive to the Airport. When we got yo the check in desk they asked if we had received an e-mail telling of the delay. No e-mail was ever received. It was now 0:630 and we were told to come back at 10am. We were not allowed to go through to the departure lounge, so we had a very uncomfortable three and half hour wait as sitting is very limited in the area. We were allowed to go through to the departure lounge at 10 and finally boarded at 5pm. The flight was comfortable and the staff and accommodations at our destination were great.

left 35 mins late... co-pilot was stepped up to another flight... all the usual bits n bobs.. to many "little" cases & LARGE handbags hence no room in over head storage boxes.. summer holidays are here.. kids out of school... lots of crying.. the food was typical airline food.. (nothing special) chaos at faro airport... 3 flight 1 carousel 600/800 people waiting.. then the Tui staff in the arrival hall.. lefthand & righthand not talking... ques all over the place...

The flight left on time the staff were very helpful as I was flying with my son who has Aspergers Syndrome. This was the first time he had flown and we had been seated at opposite ends of the plane, I told them and within minutes they found 2 seats together and moved us. They kept checking on him to put him at ease but there was no need as he loved every minute of it.
