Review of Jetstar Airways - Australia & New Zealand

Are recent flight Adelaide to Cairns - which we purchased at a very reasonable price thanks to one of Jetstar's numerous "Deals" offers- went very smoothly from start to finish, despite a 30 minute delay in leaving. With carry-on only and web check-in, the outgoing process form Adelaide was very fast. On the return leg from Cairns, the airline staff were weighing all carry-on bags 30 minutes or so before departure. They were very considerate with regard to helping those whose bags were overweight (7km maximum) offering helpful suggestions to lighten the load ( can you tie a jacket or jumper around your waist) rather than being overbearing. Well done !
And paying a little extra for extra legroom seats was very worthwhile - my husband and I are tall.
All in all, a pleasant experience .

Jetstar flight to honolulu was smooth. The seats are comfortable more room than Qantas economy. We took our own snacks because it was an overnight flight. They will supply you with water when you want. Staff were friendly. Cost for movies in $10 which is not too bad. But the flights were half the cost of Hawaiian at the time. So very good.

We’d not flown with Jetstar before and after reading a few bad reviews were a little apprehensive. However, we needn’t have worried, everything was smooth from check in to baggage collection. I’d ordered a cheese toastie which was good and their wine was good too. The cabin crew gave me the wine free as they had no change! No problems at all. Worth booking the seats you want, we sat at the front which was roomy. The return flight was just as good. On time, clean plane, efficient. Recommended.

Wei would give Jetstar a 0 rating if I could. We had a 12 noon flight today to Avalon from Gold Coast that got cancelled due to bad weather (that I can deal with and understand). They then put us on a 15:10 flight to Tullamarine which has now been delayed by 3 hours and we still haven't left or know of our boarding time yet. The worst part is there was a 16:20 service to Melbourne (exact same service and route) that left in time despite being scheduled 1hr10mins after our flight. Customer service have not helped at all (even Tiger are doing refreshment vouchers for their delayed flights - literally nothing or no help from Jetstar).

DO NOT FLY WITH THEM! I haven't flown with them for 3 years because of previous experiences like this but thought I'd try them again... will literally never fly with them ever again.

Virgin and Qantas are the only good airlines in Australia

We always have a good experience with Jetstar,sometimes running a bit late but who doesnt.The seats are a bit small but you get what you pay for.
