The main reason for using Qantas is their safety record. But the on-board service is way behind their Asian counterparts. As an example, on the flight I changed my mind about a meal choice and the air stewardess just about through my second choice at me in a moment of rage. Sadly, many staff on-board look ageing and while I have no problem with that, they seem to have run out of the joy of life and very little patience in offering exceptional customer service. Also, after take off you get a bottle of water (how boring) instead of the usual peanuts with a drink choice. Many staff would be well advised to do exercise as they are looking quite chubby. Talk about extra weight on the plane! Qantas should look at own backyard.
