Flying with the oldest and once the most prestigious airlines was a disappointment in terms of service and food quality. It is evident that Air France has taken an financial toll on this once excellent airline. The service was slow and no refills of our cocktails were offered. The food quality unfortunately bad. I did not find the plane clean at all. The ground crew in YVR was not friendly and unfortunately unhelpful, seemed to be preoccupied with socializing with each other rather than passenger assistance.
During the flight the flight attendances could not with to get off the flight and presumably get home.
The overhead announcements were on comprehensible. We have flown business class on most mayor airlines, and realized KLM standards have slipped suggestive of partner Air France dictated budgetary restraints, as the standard and quality are not up to the pricey business class expectations.
