Although there was again the text 'Business Light' in our point-upgraded boarding cards, we were entitled to priority security that was more like a joke. After a long maze, we were standing in the same queue as everybody else.

Also, we were entitled to Tempelhof Lounge above gate A20. The food and drink service was quite average. However, the views were great.

There would have been priority boarding for business class passengers although we were in GROUP4. However, we were in the toilet preparing for the flight. Because of the pandemic, the forward toilet is blocked from passenger use and the only toilet of Embraer 190 is located at the rear of the aircraft.

After that everything went smoothly and the flight itself was very enjoyable. There were just three business class passengers. At the moment, Finnair blocks the seat next to you also in Embraer 190 planes.

We bought economy light tickets to Berlin. The return price was just 102 euros per person. With Finnair points 4 x 10000, we made upgrades to Business Class. At that point, Finnair didn't have a new concept Business Light. Any airport services like lounge access or checked baggage are not included in Business Light tickets.

One day before our departure, I got an email that the check-in is open. In the email was mentioned the travel class being Economy. However, our seats 1A and 1C were still left. Boarding passes could not be printed. They could be collected from the baggage drop counters.

On arrival at the airport, we noticed that these baggage drop counters are self-service and there was no way to get the boarding passes from there. So we had to go to the special assistance queue. The priority check-in is at the moment only for Finnair Platinum customers, not even for business class.

After half an hour of queuing, we finally got to the counter. Our vaccination certificates were checked. Luckily I had got my second Pfizer two weeks and six hours earlier and we had all documents printed. We got our boarding passes where we could see the text Business Light.

No priority security or lounge access. Finnair has all lounges closed at Helsinki-Vantaa.

No priority boarding. Because of the pandemic, the boarding is started from the rear of the plane.

The flight itself was flawless. It was on time. The service was very friendly. The food and drinks service was at the same level as before the pandemic. There were only three business class passengers.

We landed in the new Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport on time. No checks were made and we were quickly on our way to the city center.

On our return journey, it is interesting to see if we are still in Business Light and not entitled to the lounge. In that case, Finnair is cheating its customers. On their web pages is still reading that point upgrades include the same services as the standard Business class ticket.

This was my first flight during the corona pandemic. The airport was rather empty and it was no queue to the check in, but it was rather many passengers at the flight. They served as usual coffee, tea and blueberry juice.

The Finnair personal in the gate is acting like they are the border Police, asking you all kind of question, like why are you traveling, what are you going to do there etc. If you dont have the correct answer you are rejected to enter the aircraft.

Finnair emailed me to advise that my flight was cancelled. They gave a link to the refund request form. I completed it correctly but the submit button was not active. I tried to connect to the chat service - this does not work. I phoned their customer service line - on hold for 45 minutes without answer. Total frustration, total absence of customer service.
