“Not good for overseas travellers”
Review of British Airways

Reviewed 3 January 2018

This airline doesn't allow 2 bags for overseas!!!!! it was ridiculous. all other airlines let you take 2 luggage each 23 Kg. If I didn't have to stop in London, I would never chose this airline.

We booked this flight as the end of a Round the World trip, which included 19 flights with various airlines. A pity that this was one of the worst experiences of the trip. It is a long overnight flight, so we were in Business Class expecting some comfort. We didn't get it. The seats were back-to-back with a partition in the middle (window-aisle) which meant you had to climb over the aisle passenger to get out. The service was poor with grumpy staff, who didn't seem to want to bring you anything during the night. The seat did fold flat, but was short and uncomfortable. We arrived at Heathrow and went to the Business Class lounge to freshen up. Food there was pretty lousy too.
Last time I flew a long haul Business Class was Emirates. A totally different and more pleasant experience. British Airways are simply not up to the job.

Please avoid this airline. Specially when going with kids. It was as if we had gone back to the colonial age. Being ordered to eat this, sit like this, hold ur child like this.

Had to request 3 times and wait 15 minutes for a small drink, that too when no serving of meals was going on.

Being tall I paid a lot extra for an exit row seat to get legroom. Unfortunately the WIDTH of the seats is so small that i physically could not fit into the seat without force and ended up with bruises after 14 hours wedged inside. The cabin crew were typical 21 century Brits with more snobbish attitude than customer service. None of them could fit into the seat either, so why should paying passengers be subjected to the CFO's cost cutting exercise. Didn't get any sleep due to the miniscule seat. Food was mediocre at best and any requests for drinks were met with "I'll be with you soon" even when the cabin crew were doing nothing. They should try recruiting crew that WANT to serve customers rather than ones who belittle the paying guests.
Although a new 787 it felt like an old 727 and was a bouncy ride, probably due to plastic wings. I would rather have 3 stopovers than fly direct with BA.. they have not improved at all since they stopped their KUL-LHR 747 service 10 years ago... the crew were just as rude then, but at least the seats were made for grown adults not babies!
As a Brit I was embarrassed that it has a British label. Come on Virgin.. do a LHR to KUL to SYD flight again.. without code sharing with MAS.

Great flight no issues with surrounding passengers which sometimes happens. Little disappointed that although we booked with British Airways as the flight was operated by American Airlines, only drinks (alcoholic) served with the meal were free. No first round before the meal and anything after was chargeable. This does not happen on pure BA flights.
