very disappointing and unprofessional service. our luggage did not arrive with us. no communication or at least an apology from AIRLINK which shows a level of disrepect and taking passengers for granted. what disgusts me is failure to inform or communicate. there was chaos at the airport with travellers still waiting for their bags 2days after arrival in BUQ using AIRLINK.
I used this airline twice in one year to fly from SA to Namibia return. Reading some of the reviews on here, I feel like I travelled with a different airline.
I love the Embraer's they use, such a comfortable plane, leather seats & good leg room. On each flight, found the plane to be clean & on time.
The flight attendants all looked smart, were polite & provided very good service. They serve food & drinks even though it was a short flight. Plenty of wine choices, not sure about spirits, non alcoholic cold drinks, tea & coffee.
The food choices looked very good, my husband said his food was very tasty, however although they have an option for vegetarians they had no option for people like myself who need Gluten Free food, which was a shame but not a big deal.
Luggage allowance was industry standard for a plane of this size on a short haul route.
I was very happy to fly with them & would certainly recommend to others.
Read the baggage policy carefully! I flew from Joburg to PE but my final destination was a bit further away. The airline left one of my bags in Joburg and when they eventually returned it, they refused to deliver it to the address I provided, saying it was outside of the PE municipal area. In the end, as I was working and unable to go to PE myself, I had to arrange for a courier to get it and pay for it myself. I have had several bags delayed in the past and Airlink is the only airline that has refused to deliver my bag to where I was.
Always late, never prepared for anything. No communication and the crew have zero idea of anything going on. The crew on board is about as helpful as the terrible check in service. Used to be the best airline-now you get a soggy bun in a plastic bag. No thanks- I’ll definitely be looking at another airline and would not recommend this circus. If you want to waste money and time- fly with Airlink. Not impressed!!!! Especially the fact that they charge a premium and don’t care about their passengers.
