We travelled for a holiday from London to Mexico city, then to Cancun and back from Merida to Mexico city and to London. Before travel we had to contact the UK phoneline because of change of schedule of the flights, and were realy pleased with the service. We had all 4 flights very pleasant. Customer service was great in English as well. Entertainment on the long hauls was great /plenty enough to keep the kids and adults occupied/. You get pillow, blanket, earphones, eyepatch and earphones - all you need for a long flight. Food was tasty as well. Plenty of drinks. Cusomer service onboard was great. The only thing was that we could not make the online check in, and we had separate seats for the night flight from London to Mexico city despite being at the check in desk at Heathrow 3h. in advance. As a family of 5 /3 kids/ this was not very comfortable for us, but the staff at the airport did its best to accommodate us as close as possible, so it was not too bad. We did not have any check in luggage - just the 10kg cabin suitcase each which was enough. All the planes were clean including the WC.

When booking online and stating your skytean status number, this will not be reflected in your boarding pass so no miles! This is a hassle for every mile hunter.
This situation persist since aeromexico updated their software about 3 years ago. They do not bother at all to solve this problem.

Check in always quick and friendly. Service on board good, nothing special. Food bland and unimpressive. Seats very comfortable - I’m 6ft and 250 pounds and I have plenty of room.
One great thing about Aeromexico is that they don’t skimp on the drinks, they will come back to fill up wine or offer another beer ever on the shortest of flights. Would be nice if cabin crew where more bi-lingual.
Overall I will keep using them, way better than any budget airline - worth paying a bit extra for.

We've flown to San Pedro Sula, every way possible - but this has worked out the best for us time-wise, and with no long layovers in Mexico City. I never find stopping there since it's a decent terminal, and offers a fair amount of good eating spots, has charging stations, clean bathrooms etc. And the airline - never late (until this last trip when they came in late and had to do some servicing on the aircraft - never was sure exactly what it was though). The gate staff kept us informed on departure times & you could tell they weren't exactly happy about it either. On board, we appreciate the free beverages, usually 1 hot and 1 cold meal, wifi (which I never used), and the attendants are all pleasant. Oddly on this particular flight, we couldn't understand much of the pilot (or co-pilot?) announcments. We use Aeromexico approx 10x a year and have been very satisfied, and, the pre book prices are generally pretty good. I've recommended them to a lot of fellow travelers.

I thought BA were bad.., Before coming back I was going to give it 2/3 star but..... this is based on 4 flights.
Firstly no control on boarding. No letting on children first. You get what you pay for but the seating was more uncomfortable than usual for economy. The internal 2hr flight was actually more comfortable. The entertainment was very lacking bearing in mind this was 11 1/2hr journey.
The worst was the food. We had booked vegetarian child’s meal and they gave us chicken! Then they said there is no veggie childs meals available anyway.
We reconfirmed the meals for the return journey with chief concierge who spoke to them in Spanish and guess what?.... yep. Our food was so bland and bad we left it and had nothing the whole flight but the worst was the “we don’t really care” attitude from the crew. We asked for G&T and just said no and went off with the trolley! When we got back one of the bags had been opened by staff. It took ages for the Heathrow staff to get through to Aero Mexico staff and for them to come and find us and she couldn’t even give us an explanation as to why the bag was opened (and they have broken the zip). Due to the delay I had to fork out £15 extra for the taxi.

My wife contacted Aero Mexico the next day and they said we had not requested special meals and 10 days later still have not heard about our bag.

The ironic thing about the food is that my wife is a Travel Consultant and booked the flights herself. But what does she know, only been doing it for almost 30 years.
