“Disgusting unhelpful airline”

Horrible airline. We turned up at the airport to find out our flight had been cancelled with no notice or warning, and nobody on the counter or customer service booth - just a scrap of paper taped to the booth saying to call their customer service number. Customer services couldn’t haven’t been less interested in helping and just told us to rebook on another flight via our travel agent. Not even an apology for ruining our entire itinerary so we had to rebook all our flights for double the price. I am writing this unable to sleep because we now cannot fly for another two days and am petrified I will miss my dad’s funeral if anything else goes wrong. If that happens, your company will never know peace again. Shame on you.

When I flew down to Capetown in December, I had a really good experience and actually mentioned that I hope my return flight is with CemAir too (it was), but after the experience I had today, I'm so disappointed in the service on this flight. It was the 06:10 flight nr 5Z0900. Not only did the flight attendant threaten me with arrest as I boarded the plane over a rule I was not aware of, nor have I ever heard it, but before we started landing, she woke me up by repeatedly hitting me in my arm, snapping that I have to put up the tray. I continuously tried to be kind, respectful and not react negatively when she was addressing me, but it didn't seem to change her confrontational attitude. I work in service as well and I would NEVER treat a client the way that I was treated today, nor would I EVER lay a hand on one. This experience was probably one of the worst I've had and started my day in the most terrible way. I expect better service, especially taking into consideration the prices that we pay for flights in this season.

Flight was on time, we had good service during the flight with courtesy snacks, the staff was professional and we had no problems with checking in.

Had book flight back to UK on the 26th December. Cemair cancelled flight without reason and no alternative other taking the only later flight this missing my international connecting and (and lose fair) or Cemair will refund their flight at a cost of R300. Refused to refund international flight dispute it as a result of their abject failure. Staff rude and unhelpful. Cemair has left me stranded in South Africa with no means to get home. Will be alerting the South African travel regulators.

Tried out CEMAIR for the first time on a return flight from Durban to George. Service was friendly. The plane is old, so seats could not lean back, making a nap during the 2 hour flight well nigh impossible. At least complimentary tea, coffee, drinks and sandwiches were available. So glad to be able to fly directly to George instead of via Johannesburg.
