They are always on time and their crew are very welcoming. If you want to fly local, fly Kulula they are by far the best.

I got a message at 8pm on 29/03/2021 to advise that my flight from 5:55am has been changed to 11:45am. This cuts 6 hours of our holiday. Horrific!!!!!
My car rental with Hertz is for pick up at 8am. Now what Kulula? totally unacceptable and I will NEVER book with you again. Total waste of time. And their call centres only operate til 7pm. How convenient. And there are NO alternative flights on your website! No choice, just force you customer to reduce their time on holiday!

Well how to start a weekend aways when you arrive at your destination and to find your bag was broken into…

The customer service agent at Durban airport was at least friendly and helpful as he had to deal with 4 diffrent passangers on the same flight whos bags was broken into….

So lets see if it improves on the way home…

Absolutely Pathetic as a business and company that’s supposed to be involved in customer service. Arrived 30 minutes before the flight due to curfew this morning but were told to reschedule as no check-ins are accepted 45 minutes prior to the flight(note that the flight took off 10 minutes later than scheduled so hello company hypocrisy 🙃)... we were told we can rebook the flight as a one way ticket for a much later flight at a higher price (we had to pay more for a one-way ticket than we did for our return ticket that we initially paid for so they make more than double the money). No option to reschedule the return ticket either therefore Holding customers and passengers to ransom. Absolutely no effort made or attempted to accommodate customers. Even people who check-in online but arrive 5 minutes late are forced to rebook their flights and pay in exorbitant differences. There were at least a dozen people experiencing this issue. The staff are rude (Mr Machelo at O.R Thambo) and do not communicate well at all. We’d have to outlay every single scenario to ask questions-an apathetic attitude and a blatant unwillingness to assist even in explaining and get up to disappear into the office with no communication whatsoever-we were left confused wondering whether or not we were even being still helped...
The policies appear as legal disclaimers in place to facilitate scamming of passenges and urgently need to be reviewed and changed. There’s absolutely no logic in allowing online check-ins but then closing baggage check-in 45 minutes prior to flights, especially for the first flight of the morning while the country is still under a curfew. I will never fly with this airline and I will make a concerted effort to discourage people to fly using Kulula as well as the policies, prices, adherence to Covid19 protocols and staff are pathetic and they’re solely out to milk you for as much money as possible. The term “customer care” shouldn’t even be used here.... reading reviews as well, I wish I read these reviews and posts before making the mistake of booking with this airline. Disgusted! Lost out on car rental and accommodation that had been paid for just due to this.

I've flown on Kulula a few times over the past two years and almost every flight has been delayed. The latest flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg was initially scheduled to leave at 9:00, which was subsequently brought forward to 8:25. They did let me know well in advance of this time change, however, on the day, the flight was delayed and was then scheduled to leave at 10:20. But, an hour before the delayed scheduled departure time, the flight was further delayed to 11:40. But then, once boarded, the flight was further delayed by 35mins because of double bookings on seats and waiting on other cabin crew to board. I also found some of the cabin crew to be rude and obnoxious. The only reason for flying with Kulula is because of the Discovery Vitality discount that I get but in future will rather void the discount and choose another airline as Kulula is incredibly unreliable.
