Early June crowds?

Hello, we are considering staying in Fiscardo for one week, commencing 8th June 2024. Is the village extremely crowded then? I have just viewed a YouTube (no indication of what time of year it was filmed) and the harbour/restaurant area looked extremely busy and crowded. I'be interested to have some insights on this, thank you.

1. Re: Early June crowds?

Over the last few years (since the airport upgrade) the island has got more popular with visitors.

But writing that, we visit family on the island a couple of times a year, one of which is often between mid June and mid July (or both and sept) and it's usually fine, though do tend to travel in school term time.

We do like to spend a day in and around Fiscardo when we visit and yes it's a popular place and can be fairly busy, but we've never experienced it to be overly crowded to the extent we're uncomfortable.

If you are looking for beaches, then there are only a couple locally and they are fairly small, so can be busy.

We both don't like really crowded placed, it was one thing that really spoiled our recent trip to Santorini. No really the crowds themselves, we obviously expect most of those, it's more the ignorant crowds!
