PCR/Antigen Test help please

Hey all

My husband and I are heading to PDC on the 18th December for 10 days. The Irish government have brought in new rules for all travellers entering Ireland in that we will require a professional antigen test result or a PCR.

Does anyone know where these can be done and what the costs are?

Looking forward to your replies 😊

Where are you staying? Plenty of places they can be done including the airport. If you are fully vaccinated, the Antigen costs between €20 and €35 depending where you go.

A PCR for unvaccinated costs between €70 and €100 again, depending on who you go with. A number of companies will come to your accommodation to test you.

Hi. This link takes you to authorised test centres. Use the filter at the top to select the island and then see the local providers and links to their own web sites

There’s a good clinic on the strip, just past Dos Mil, opposite the information centre. Think it cost €30.

If I’m reading this correctly then these requirements for testing are initially in place for 2 weeks and will be reviewed and possibly removed then. If you are only leaving Ireland on the 18th you might not need to do a test to return home.

Westpassage - very true, but as information still scant on the variant and full effects probably not known for months yet , I can only see restrictions being further tightened.
