Hello1 We are driving up from PA, Would the timing work if we got up there around 11 or 12 , have lunch at the CIA, then would we have time to see the FDR home and museum? Not sure how long it takes to see it all. Also can anyone recommend a place to stay for 4 adults, really don't want to get 2 separate hotel rooms. Thank you!

I tend to break it up to pieces with the FDR home & estate. Get there in the morning and see parts of the estate and break off for lunch and then finish off the rest of the estate. The reason why is that the museum is interesting but also we also went to the Top Cottage who had a fantastic guide, Vanderbilt mansion and Eleanor's cottage. We also took advantage of the trails and walked between some of the houses or took advantage of the tram. We turned it into a whole day trip.
