New food happenings in Akumal

While rumour still has Lucy's Two (in the Pueblo) closing in Oct, her ice creme stand near the arch sounds like it will still go on

Other happenings (via posts from the other site - thank you)

- La Beuna Vida (in Half Moon Bay will be closed from August 23rd, 2010 to October 22rd, 2010. They are expanding

and upgrading the current kitchen as well as other improvements.

- On the south side of the Lol-Ha main Restaurant, the Internet place is now called Cafe Te Latte"...internet is available, gelato is awesome and the various coffee's are great, give the place a try. The guys running the shop are very friendly and proud of what they have to offer.

- Lolha Restaurant and Snack Bar Lolha is opening up a Taco Cart beside Cyber Beach soon! Made to order Tacos, Empanadas, and Pastor! Mexican Street food on the Beach! Opening date will be announced soon!

Please try to visit Akumal to try out these places

And the guy at the gate told me that it closed because the contract ended.

We got passes (in April/May) from Yal-Ku entrance to visit the Cueva restaurant - was great when we were there

I assume by the use of the word had you are reflecting on the good old days. Hopefully someone can let us know the current situation. I agree it was awesome when Teresa ran the place (her next venture also had great ceviche but now it's me reflecting .... )

I'm assuming it is under new management (as opposed to the old ownership re-opening it)?
