Victory liner EDSA Pasay terminus to Olongapo Blue jeepney from Olongapo bus terminus, Get a bus via Dau as they go on expressway from Dau ( Angeles) to Olongapo.

Journey time 3 hours min - add an hour or two in rush hour, Sunday is quieter. Guess about 300 pesos.

Victory Liner in Pasay, along Edsa. Take any Olongapo-bound bus. But preferably to Iba or Sta. Cruz, if it is available. More importantly, those taking the SCTEX route is much better and faster. Fare is around P270 going to Olongapo.

When in Olongapo, take a blue jeep going to Subic, Castillejos.

Both the above are spot on regarding the bus option. Just a reminder - take teh bus that goes via SCTEX - it takes 2 hours to Dau and thence 1 hour to Olongapo.

From the bus stop, if you wish, you can take a trike instead of the blue jeepney. Both options take jsut about 15-20 minutes. The former costs around 50-80 pesos and will drop you right upto your hotel / resort / help you find one if you wish (the latter costs just 12-20 pesos, and stops where-ever you want on the highway - just shout "para po" to the jeepney driver and he will stop. )

You can also take Victory Liner bus to Iba and get off in Barreto. Faster if you avoid the "via San Fernando" route.

@ Alka

Do you recollect the time taken and the bus frequency for Manila to Iba Zambales?

Is'nt it nearly 1 1-.5 hours from Iba Zambales to Barrio Baretto, through Castillejos etc?

if I take the Blue jeepney from Olongapo, would they drop me off at Driftwood Resort? I would travel alone going to that place Saturday morning

I haven't a clue where Driftwood Resort is but Mr Google tells me there is a Driftwood Beach so assuming the resort is on the National Highway going towards Subic Town then they will drop you off anywhere on the route. Castillios jeepneys may not be happy taking you as they may want pasengers going further but just ask the driver, pre covid they ran every minute or so and the Subic ones will be OK

I would ask the driver to drop you off and suggest you find on Google Maps where the resort is as there may be another landmark nearby he is mre familiar with.

It can be difficult to see where you are from the back of a jeepney but there is a Petron Station just before where I think you need to be. - ask the resort !
