Booking a honeymoon safari in the Balule park for July/August and then visiting Capetown. Any suggestions on transit? We will be landing in JNB in the morning (from New York). We plan to drive to Balule...the return is up for debate. We could either drive back to JNB (5+ hours then lots of flights to CPT each about 2 hours) or drive down to Nelspruit Airport (150 KM) and catch the one daily flight to CPT (2 hours 40 min). Anyone have experience with either or both routes? Thanks

Yep - lots of experience.. Budgetwise, driving back to JNB will be a lot less. Finish the morning game drive at your camp and you could be at the airport in Johannesburg by 200PM - 230PM. Check in the car and check in youtselves for a 400PM flt and be in Cape Town by 600PM. It'll be dusky dark, but a good way to save some $$.

Very helpful, thanks. Timewise it's close and we aren't in any real hurry so we will probably just drive it. We also have a lot more flight options out of JNB.

Thanks again!

Agree with Bwana Dave, driving works out more economic time and money-wise.

Enjoy your honeymoon safari!
