I am planning a visit to Kruger in June. Can you suggest on the following

1. What are the chances of sighting Big 5 in Balule in comparison to Kruger

2. Comparison of the budget lodges in Balule

Mohlabetsi - Operated by its owners, and has great energy. Naledi - also owner operated, and a place with very good rates. Pondoro is an elegant lodge with two price points, both of which are good value-for-money. These are three I can recommend.

Thank you so much.

Will you be able to suggest about wildlife viewing in Balule - How does it compare to Kruger?

Balule is in greater Kruger. It is within the 2.2 million hectare reserve and unfenced to Kruger. It's a little more recently unfenced than the reserves to its south and east so there are fewer generations for the animals to live there freely but the game viewing is good.

I like to combine self drive in Kruger Park for 4-6 nights with a three night private reserve stay. They are both very different experiences, both fun. See the post at the top of the forum for info.

Thank you!

I have 2 problems. One - I have only 2 nights for safari and I am trying to fit a to in it

Ad second is that we have a 3 year old kid in our party and most private lodges don't accept kids of that age.If I self drive in Kruger, will I be allowed to take him?

If you self drive in Kruger it's your own vehicle so you can definitely take a young child.

There are only 2 lodges that will allow a young child.
