questions about sabi sands/kruger and lodgings

Hello All,

I am trying to book a last minute vacation to South Africa in mid may (we have between may 9-may 29th). We are looking for the best places to stay to see the big cats and that has rooms that can accomodate 3 people (that is not super expensive). We have stayed in the sabi sands area before and loved it (arathusa) but I do not believe that they have rooms that accommodate 3 people. does anyone have any ideas? any other areas of Kruger area we should look at? any lodgings that you can think of that would be suitable? We already have 3 or 4 nights booked at senalala in klauserie area so we are open to other areas.....Esp an area that is known for their lion/leopard sightings. thank you guys

thank you

We just came back from Inyati Game Lodge. There were three of us.

Their Family Chalet can sleep up to 5 (2+2+1}. That was a major parameter in our choice of Inyati.

Wildlife viewings were great. A pride of 6 lions (2m, 2f and 2 cubs), 3 leopards (one on a tree) , wild dogs, multiple elephants (including a 30 strong herd) etc. Antelopes on premise, elephants and giraffes just off the property visible from the rooms.

My research and other posts suggest Inyati is considered good value.

Service was great and the accommodations are comfortable and spacious.

Food, unfortunately, is just ok.

Your best value is probably Honeyguide in the Manyeleti, it’s tented but great sightings ,

Umkumbe could also be an option, well priced and family rooms, they in Sabi Sands.
