4th July 2016 Celebrations in Clarksdale

Hi Clarksdale Forum

We are doing a road trip to the US next year and, if our itinerary goes to plan, we will be arriving in, and spending the night at Clarksdale on 4th July.

Can I please ask, what are the celebrations likely to be? Will there be fireworks and other activities during the day/evening?

Thank you in advance

Clarksdale is a small town and do not know what type of celebration they would have. Many small towns do have celebrations but would need to check with them. I do know the larger towns like Vicksburg, Natchez, Oxford, Biloxi, etc. have some type of parades, BBQ's, etc.

You may want to contact the Clarksdale Chamber of Commerce for info-

Don't stay in Jackson. Drive 30 minutes west to Vicksburg. They always have lots to do. Not only 4th of July activities but Battle of Vicksburg was at this time also.

Certain areas of Jackson are not visitor friendly imo. If you have to stay then only on north side near mall.
