Where to stay in Inhambane

Hi there

Heading to Inhambane for a 40th birthday celebration. 6 adults and 2 kids. None of us have been in Inhambane, so am looking to find out what there is to do there.

There seems to be lots to do in the evening but do people go out at night to the city/town?

Also want to know where people stay - does it even matter (or is it like some places where you want to be closer to the action)

Hi. Inhambane is known more for the Province than the city. Inhambane City is nice to visit for a few hours but dont stay there. You should stay at Barra or Tofo. If you are looking for accommodation in Tofo look at http://www.mozambicanhotels.com/tofo-hotels

That same website has lots of information that is good for your travel. See the Tourist information page

Inhambane City is a bit of a ghost town. Try going to the beaches nearby. There is often action at Dino's in Tofo or around the restaurants in Long Street.
