Ontario or michigan overnight stay

Gonna be in the Soo 1 night 9/16. Should we stay in US or Cansda side? Looking for a downtown area, bars restaurants, nice lodging.

Your U.S. dollar will go a lot further in Ontario! The Delta is a very nice hotel right on the water. It’s within walking distance of some decent restaurants and bars, but there isn’t anything in SSM I’d describe as exceptional.

SSM, Ontario is home to some amazing Italian restaurants.

I’ve been to many, and they’re average at best. (But full disclosure: I grew up in Windsor, so I’ve been spoiled for Italian restaurants.)
