Encinitas in early March

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to for a short trip to Encinitas in early March (weekdays trip). I've never been to Encintas or San Diego area before. I'm wondering if there's any place that is pretty tranquil and far from hustle and bustle in Encinitas? Recommendations on places to stay and/or visits are welcome and appreciated.

Thank you!

For tranquil, look at the Self Realization Gardens or San Diego Botanic Gardens.

Moonlight Beach Motel is right near Moonlight Beach.

If you drive out to the corner of Encinitas Blvd and Rancho Santa Fe Road almost any day near sunset, you can watch hot air balloons take flight.

Any beach is quiet in Encinitas. I agree, the Self Realization Realization Foundation meditation gardens are beautiful. http://www.encinitastemple.org/visiting/ The San Diego Botanical Garden too. Also, visit the many lagoons for quiet and peace. They are doing construction along the San Elijo Lagoon, but the rangers can give you tips on where to hike further inland. http://www.sdparks.org/content/sdparks/en/park-pages/SanElijo.html

The towns of Del Mar, Solana Beach, Carlsbad and Oceanside all connect with Encinitas and are worth a visit. Check on those forums for ideas. All are located within 10 to 15 miles of each other and easily accesable by car or public transit. Enjoy.

I live here. There is no hustle/bustle in Encinitas. It is a very mellow place.

There are plenty of tranquil places in town. You can walk to any of the beaches, then walk go north of south a short distance and you will be pretty much alone.
