Can anyone advise if they have ever used travel up for booking flights to ct
I have no idea about this agent. I usually book direct with airlines. The slightly higher price is offset by the security I feel. The alternative is to use a big well known agent. I use Expedia but there are others.
Many thanks for your quick reply, I have used other agent before with no prob but just so unsure re these, and I'm sure you are correct to book direct with airline it's not for until end of October but would like to get booked whilst prices are decent
I only book directly through airlines website and sign up for emails to notify me of price drops. My experience with agents is that they generally screw things up.
I can recommend Dial a Flight or Trailfinders .
Be aware , that if you want to fly non stop to CT from the UK, then BA has the monopoly with prices to match . Although their sale in March had some good deals for less than £700. Thomas Cook had flights last winter , I will try them next time as BA standards have dropped over the years, our last two journeys have been on par with EasyJet.
I've used Travel Up for flights to Thailand with no problem, there part of Southall Travel. I would still prefer to book direct with an airline.
Didn't use TravelUp for my Cape Town flights but they had the cheapest prices for my trips to Borneo and Tanzania, didn't have any issues.
I think the first time I used them I called up the airline to make sure they had the details of my booking.
I have used Travel Up and had no issues with them. They were the cheapest option too.
Many thanks for all of your comments start knuckling down now and hopefully get something booked, once again many thanks for your time x
Keep an eye on their sales.
We managed to book BA flights last Jan/Feb to travel December just gone.
Outbound was Dublin - Heathrow - Jo’berg - CT
Inbound was Port Elizabeth - CT - Gatwick - Dublin
They worked out about €300 return! Worth putting up with the bad service for in my book.
